Our drive-thru team pulls roughly 400 cars a day, and they have opinions. We sat down with the window crew for fifteen minutes between rushes and asked them what they wish every customer knew. Here are the five things that came up the most.
- Order by drink, not by size. Saying ‘medium iced vanilla latte with oat’ is faster on every end than ‘iced latte, medium, vanilla, and can you do oat milk?’ Same ingredients, half the back-and-forth.
- If you want it extra hot, just say so up front. We brew everything to spec, but we can pull a shot a little hotter if we know before it hits the cup. After it’s built, reheating starts to flatten the espresso.
- Pup cups are free, always. You don’t need to feel weird ordering one solo. The dogs are why some of us come to work.
- The mobile-order pickup spot at the side door cuts your wait in half during the 8 AM rush. Order from the parking lot, walk up, and you’ll usually beat the car line by ten minutes.
- Be kind to the box. The speaker has been through a lot. If we ask you to repeat something, it’s not personal — it’s been raining on that microphone since 2019.
Bonus: tip the headset. Our drive-thru tip pool is separate from in-store, and those dollars go straight to the team who took your order through the static.
